Puerto Rico has been devastated by Hurricane Maria, and the 3.5 million U.S. citizens living on the island need immediate relief and long-term support.

Flamboyan and its founders have been working in Puerto Rico with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, media outlets, philanthropists, and businesses for over 25 years. We will continue to partner with teams on the island to support the immediate humanitarian and recovery efforts critical for the people of Puerto Rico. In the long-term, we remain committed to ensuring the island’s children thrive by advocating for, supporting, and restoring the island’s educational systems.

Flamboyan is accepting donations at www.flamboyanfoundation.org, and all donations will be used in Puerto Rico to support the people living there. Flamboyan covers all our staff costs including a full-time director based in our DC office to coordinate with our team of 14 professionals based in Puerto Rico. Your donation goes directly to providing the immediate relief of people in need.

Flamboyan is committed to ensuring each dollar donated goes directly to those most in need, and that contributions are disbursed to organizations who have been thoroughly vetted. Donations made by check or wire transfer will have 100% of the contribution go directly to our relief efforts. Online gifts made through on our donation page using a debit or credit card will incur a 3% processing fee for each transaction. Please visit our giving page, here, for full details on all methods of giving.
