Claudia Acevedo-Quiñones nació el 19 de enero de 1988 en Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, y se crio entre Guaynabo y Río Piedras. Es escritora y poeta, y vive en Brooklyn, Nueva York desde 2006. Su trabajo como escrita se enfoca en origen, etimología, sueños y la diáspora. Fue finalista del Premio de Poesía Phillip Booth en 2019. Sus poemas, cuentos cortos de ficción y no ficción han sido publicados en The Brooklyn Rail, wildness, Ambit Magazine, Radar Poetry, entre otros. En 2019 obtuvo una maestría en escritura creativa y literatura de Stony Brook University, donde también impartió clases de poesía a estudiantes subgraduados. Su primer libro, The Hurricane Book, será publicado en 2023 por Rose Metal Press. El panfleto Bedroom Pop fue publicado por dancing girl press en 2021.

Her work as a writer is focused on origins, etymology, dreams, and the diaspora. She was a finalist for the Phillip Booth Poetry Award in 2019. Her poems, short fiction and non-fiction stories have been published in The Brooklyn Rail, wildness, Ambit Magazine, Radar Poetry, among others. In 2019, she obtained a Master’s degree in Creative Writing and Literature from Stony Brook University, where she also taught poetry to undergraduate students.
