Huáscar Robles es escritor, fotógrafo y músico nacido en Santiago de Compostela, España de padres y madre puertorriqueños. Se crió en Caguas, Puerto Rico y actualmente vive en Los Ángeles, California.
Huáscar se inspira en personajes que incomoden por su ambigüedad moral y voces literarias que aceleren el corazón y apacigüen con poesía; el cataclismo de la tecnología, los mitos del campo y los demonios del país; el metal, reggaetón, trap y salsa que se filtran por sus audífonos; historias que viajen por continentes, filosofías y sensibilidades, pero, que en el núcleo, sean retratos del dolor, duelo y la supervivencia humana. Sus publicaciones recientes son Demonios (Secta de los perros, San Juan, Puerto Rico 2023) Puertos príncipes: temblemos todos (La cifra, DF, México, 2017).
“Deseo llevar a la literatura hasta las últimas consecuencias y viajar a través disciplinas para hacer algo único, nuevo y que transgreda. Aspiro a la vida literaria y el magisterio donde está mi corazón. Deseo entretejer a mi texto con fotografía como W.B. Sebald y Eduardo Lalo. Es un honor ser parte de esta institución, tener acceso a recursos y esta comunidad literaria, y ser parte del colectivo puertorriqueño que representa nuestra literatura en el mundo.”

“I want to take literature to its ultimate consequences and travel across disciplines to make something unique, new and transgressive. I aspire to the literary life and teaching where my heart is. I wish to weave my text with photography like W.B. Sebald and Eduardo Lalo.
