Help change the game for D.C. students

Flamboyan Foundation is looking for part-time trainers who are either current D.C. public or charter school teachers or parents of D.C. students to facilitate and contribute to trainings for our partner educators for up to 9 hours per month, compensated at $35 per hour.

Work will begin in June of this year and conclude in July 2020, with the opportunity for continued work in the summer and fall of 2020. The final deadline to apply is March 31st.

Your Charge

What You'll Do

You will support relationship building trainings with our partners by sharing your own family engagement experiences and their impact on you, your students or your family. You will facilitate trainings for different audiences, deliver content and provide insight to others as a practitioner of the work. You may also be asked to speak at local or national education events and professional development workshops for educators.

Who we are looking for ...

Are you a D.C. parent or educator who is:

  • a father/father figure?
  • parenting an early childhood learner?
  • not speaking English at home?

AND has experienced family engagement connections with your children’s educators, like home visits or academic parent teacher team meetings?

Or are you:

A D.C. public or charter school teacher who deeply believes in engaging with families through the practices above?
