Academic partnership between educators and families has been a staple of supporting students’ success for decades. It takes many forms: parent-teacher conferences, APTT or Academic Parent-Teacher Team meetings, or student-led conferences. Whatever the format, the time families and educators spend discussing and collaborating for their students is an opportunity that can strengthen student learning inside and outside the classroom.
In this toolkit, teachers will find practices, tips, and tools to make the most out of academic partnering with families.
As a companion to this guide, school leaders should review the Academic Partnering Companion Guide for School Leaders.
