Gegman Lee nació en Río Piedras y se crio entre San Juan y Carolina. Actualmente reside en Cupey. Es escritor, editor y barbero. Su escritura surge de su niñez y de la observación antropológica que hacen que su trabajo sea descrito como social y existencialista. Entre sus publicaciones más recientes se encuentran Elegía a los vencidos (Ediciones Callejón, 2018), Ya no hay extrañeza (Ediciones Alayubia, 2021) y El Castillo (Ediciones Alayubia, 2024). El escritor y editor sueña con que la literatura puertorriqueña logre insertarse con más facilidad en el foco mundial, que su editorial Alayubia logre publicar más voces caribeñistas y que su producción literaria siga prosperando.

Gegman Lee was born in Río Piedras and raised between San Juan and Carolina. He currently lives in Cupey. He is a writer, editor, and barber. His writing emerges from his childhood and from an anthropological observation of his surroundings, leading his work to be described as social and existentialist. Among his most recent publications are Elegía a los vencidos (Ediciones Callejón, 2018), Ya no hay extrañeza (Ediciones Alayubia, 2021), and El Castillo (Ediciones Alayubia, 2024). The writer and editor dreams of seeing Puerto Rican literature more easily inserted into the global spotlight, publishing more Caribbean voices through his publishing house, Alayubia, and his literary production continuing to flourish.
